A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the results. Athens Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted sites, the service may retain ordinary server-log information, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We use aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.

Technical information helps operate, secure, measure, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles from this activity.
Other Sites And Portals
Links may lead to Athens County and Ohio portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search results. Each destination has its own privacy rules. That includes sponsored results, which are furnished by an outside provider.

Hosting and support providers may process service logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by this reference.

Research did not verify a comprehensive Ohio consumer data-deletion statute. Official records held by Ohio, Athens County, or City of Athens offices are outside our control.
